‘Headshots’ Videos

» Description: Creation of several videos to promote and be part of the photography exhibition ‘Headshots’ by Jose Campos Rojas. The exhibition took place in the Sophia Wanamaker Gallery in San Pedro, Costa Rica.

The project started in 2017 as a portrait one, which with time grew and became a photography exhibition focused in the power of the headshots and the close you, as a photographer and as spectator, become with the subjects of this kind photos.

The curating process of ‘Headshots’ was in charge of artist and photographer Adrian Coto.

» Behind the scenes of a Photoshoot

This video shows the last photoshoot needed to complete the project ‘Headshots’, and also was screened on the gallery as part of the exhibition.

 

The photoshoot took place in my studio and the video was shot by my friend and director Esteban Quesada Vizcaíno.

 

I was in charge of the edition, postproduction, animation and graphics.

 

Edited with Adobe Premiere, animations made with Adobe After Effects and graphics made with Adobe Illustrator.

» The Creative Process Documentation

This video shows part of the creative and design process needed to complete the project ‘Headshots’, and also was screened on the gallery as part of the exhibition.

 

The video was made with several photos I took during the process.

 

I was in charge of the edition, postproduction, animation and graphics.

Videos created to promote  the photography exhibition ‘Headshots’ in social media.

 

Using the graphic line as a reference, these videos were animated with Adobe After Effects.

» Thank you Peter Lindbergh

Peter Lindbergh’s work was a reference and an inspiration for me during the creative process of the ‘Headshots’ concept.

 

I was watching this video the night before Lindbergh’s death was made public, on september 3, 2019, just three months before ‘Headshots’ opened its doors to the public. He was 74 years old.

» Virtual Tour

‘Headshots’ the photography exhibition was open to the public for nearly two months at the Sophia Wanamaker Gallery in San Pedro, Costa Rica.

 

For those who didn’t had to chance to visit it, I hired my friend and colleague Isaac Martinez to document it with a 360 Virtual Tour.
